100 year old copper tin ceiling
The Canal House Restaurant was built in the 1860s during the Canal Era. This historical and magnificent building is adjacent to the Ohio Erie Canal grounds.
The building is located on the corner of Hammersly (Old Stage Coach Road) and Main Street in Tuscarawas. Many of us remember this a Metzger's Tavern, a popular spot in the 70's and 80's.
For this early 1860s, 3-story, reddish brick restaurant still ushers in memories of Ohio's Bygone Era.
